Description
Celebrate the New Year with Maryland’s annual First Day Hike! Enjoy a self-guided, 3.7-mile loop hike along the Lakeshore Trail, featuring scenic winter views and chances to spot local wildlife. Stop by our Welcome Table near the Recycled Tire Playground to pick up a map, explore with field guides and scavenger hunt activities, or test your knowledge with trivia games! Don’t forget to grab your “I Hiked 2025” sticker and take a photo at our selfie station to commemorate your adventure and warm up with some coffee and hot chocolate, served as supplies last by the Friends of Seneca Creek State Park.
