The RIO lakefront has always been the hotspot for me, even as a kid, I loved going there. The vibe, the atmosphere, and all that can be done while at the RIO. Since I was a kid, the RIO has improved majorly, but there are still some past times favorites that remained and some I wish stayed! With that being said, I'm always looking for ways to create different experiences for my kiddies. So I had this bright idea to plan some things to do while at the RIO lakefront while taking advantage of what's already there in the atmosphere. So here are 10 things to do while at the RIO lakefront.
1. Have a picnic at the tables or lounge station in between True Food Kitchen and Uncle Julio's.
2. Gaze and just enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh air.
3. Walk over to the 25 Cent machine for Geese' food pellets and feed the geese (you may see a turtle while you're feeding the geese')
4. Bring travel game boards/cards for you and your family to play friendly games outdoors.
5. Enjoy the music played in the summer and the seasonal street festivals.
6. Bring Coloring items for the kids and yourself.
7. Read a book on the lounge chairs by the firepit or the different pitstop benches around the lakefront.
8. Walk to the accessible playground; before you know it, you will be halfway to the other side of the boardwalk.
9. Hop on the carousel for $6 per person unlimited rides for the day.
10. Walk around and check out the shops, eateries, and dessert shops.
