Fabulous New Subscription Boxes to Check Out!

October 5, 2014
*Note- Many of these boxes were sent to me to review and to facilitate my honest feedback and review. No compensation has or will be provided for these reviews. Several of the links in the article are affiliate links which means I would make a small amount of money if you purchase something after clicking my link. However, you guys know me and know there is NO way I am going to recommend anything I do not actually think is awesome!

Who is ready for another round of subscription box reviews?! There have been some amazing new boxes I have recently been able to check out and I wanted to share them with you right away. As you guys have probably figured out, I think subscription boxes make amazing gifts for pretty much anyone (including yourself ;)!

First up, Mommy's Me Tyme! While "mommy" is in the name, this box can really be enjoyed by any woman who needs a little bit of pampering and me-time. Inside each box, you'll receive 5 or more items. Mommy's Me Tyme costs $29.95+ shipping $7.95 per month (or $34.95+$7.95 for a one time gift). Your box will be filled with high quality products such as  jewelry, accessories, bath & spa essentials, beauty products and unique merchandise that will have a value of at least $50. Apparently, not all of the boxes are the same, so while I can share what I received in my box, note that slight variations are possible.

I really like that spoilers are posted on their website the month before so can take a peek if you want to - the October spoilers look great, but I will not ruin it for anyone who wants to order and be surprised. I also adore the FAQs where you can read about Teena, the founder of Mommy's Me Tyme. She is truly an inspiration and her story is one worth reading.

For the September box, the big ticket item was a GO 1" Styling Iron. The box also included a super-sparkly rhinestone paddle hair brush, a headband and deluxe travel size Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine shampoo and conditioner. The information card in the box gave an estimated retail value of about $100. While I think several of the items can be found for less than the suggested retail value, I think the box offers a great value and I was thrilled that everything included was both fun and functional. As a mom with a house that seems to be over-run with chachkies and toys, I really appreciate that this box was filled with items I will use and not just cute things that will collect dust. Plus, who does not love supporting a mom-owned business?!

In addition to their website, you can also follow Mommy's Me Tyme on FBTwitter, and Instagram.

Sunset45 The Little Luxuries Box is a fairly new subscription service I just recently found. If you follow me on social media, you may have seen my post right after going through my box. All I could say was WOW! I was totally blown away! I feel like so many of the fashion and jewelry subscriptions are very hit or miss, or hit but with cheap products that do not last very long. My Sunset45 box was filled with all high-quality pieces that fit my style profile while helping to expand my wardrobe.

The Little Luxuries box costs $30 + $5 shipping and offers a few subscription options. They offer a Classics box for those who looking for timeless pieces that you can wear season after season. The perfect accessories and beauty items for girls who appreciate understated luxury. The Lavish box is full of decadent adornments for girls who set trends and define taste. Each month you will enjoy up to $100 worth of little luxuries, from fine and boutique-quality jewelry to salon brand nail polish, delicious fragrances and more no matter which box you choose.

Right now Sunset45 is also offering an Editor's Pick box which costs $20 and includes one item from the Classics box and one from the Lavish box.

No matter which box you choose, you fill out a quiz about your jewelry and accessory preferences. The items I received were perfectly in line with my quiz answers and it was almost as if a personal stylist had searched my closet and jewelry box and read my mind. I have checked out some of the other items people received on instagram and I loved every item I saw.

Each box comes with a card (seen above) that tells you about the theme the box was curated around and what runway styles inspired the items that month. On the back of the card, there are tips on making the look work for you, as well as a detailed list of all of the items included in your specific box.

My box came with the "Leone" necklace ($40 rv), "Braid" bracelet ($30 rv), "Treasure Trail" earring duo ($18 rv) and D & Y "Saddle Up" Scarf ($24 rv) so my box had an estimated value of $112!! I think I may have to put Sunset45 on my wish list. I can't wait to see what they include next month.
