Putting it Out There - How I'm Finally Taking Charge of My Health

Vulnerability time . . . 

I have struggled with my weight my whole life.   If there were times when I wasn't struggling it was because I was hyper focused on diet and exercise and spending a whole lot of time focused on both.  

I tried what felt like every diet and exercise program under the sun, and at some point, I would always cheat or slip up, and lose my way.  The shame and guilt I imposed on myself for such failures would often lead me to fall even further off track.  A downward spiral.  

After having my two kids my weight struggles got out of control.   Life has gotten so busy, and believe me I'm not complaining - raising my kids, while hard work, has been the greatest blessing of my life.   But still - as so many parents do, I started to put my own needs behind those of my family.   Instead of cooking and meal planning, we started eating more take out, prepared foods, and easy options.   Plus, I'm a stress eater. . .(perhaps you know what that's like).

When Covid started (over a year ago, holy cow!) things got even worse for me in the diet and exercise zone.   I started working from home, dangerously close to my refrigerator, the stress eating (and drinking) kicked into high gear, and candidly just surviving a day with everyone at home seemed a good enough reason to crack open the bottle of wine or pint of ice cream.   I was out of control and worse yet - FEELING out of control.  My body felt uncomfortable, I was unhappy in my own skin, and I saw no end in sight for the current Covid restrictions.   I felt so awful that when I saw a friend post a picture of herself online looking confident, trim and toned, I just had to reach out and find out what she had done to lose the weight.   I am so glad I did.   

After hearing all about the health program my friend had done it sounded different and MANGEABLE - I decided to give it a try, and it has been such a gift!

I have lost 60 pounds so far and feel terrific.   The program has been incredibly easy to follow.  After the first four days on program, I've had no cravings, and my energy is through the roof!  I haven't felt this much energy since before having kids.   My health has improved and I have been able to avoid going on maintenance medications for some chronic health conditions that were creeping up on me.   The best part, though, is that taking control of my health during a pandemic has given me confidence and control over a very significant part of my life in a time when I was feeling so terribly out of control with everything going on in the world around us.   

I have felt so blessed and lucky to have found this program and given it a try that I have helped a number of friends and family members to take charge of their health, too - and wow, has it been inspiring to help others collectively lose hundreds of pounds each month.
