Happy Monday! Let me start by saying L'Shana Tova! to all those who are celebrating the New Year! This week we have several great giveaways as well as a packed calendar. REMEMBER that MCPS is closed Monday the 17th!!! Hopefully you already know this...but if you are a brand new MCPS parent like me,...well, lets just say I figured a reminder could not hurt. ;)
I have noticed over the past few months that as my son has gotten older, he is not into as many of the activities I had been listing. This made me realize how many of you are probably in the same boat...so, starting this week, I am going to try and work on including more events for the older kids as well! And, I will do my best to find giveaways that will appeal to older kids as well! If your older kids have some favorite local venues, please leave a comment below or e-mail me at [email protected]

Remember that in addition to the event listings, remember there are LOTS more events listed in the updated weekly events article including open gyms, story times at the local libraries, craft workshops and more.
