Our Annual Best Of Holiday Gift Guide will be coming out soon...and this year we have a few BIG TICKET giveaways that will be included.  The first big ticket giveaway was announced last week on our Facebook page...4 tickets to ICE! at the Gaylord National.  This year, instead of picking the winner randomly, for these two giveaways, we will award the prizes based on the two Macaroni Kid Rockville-Gaithersburg subscribers who refer the most new, local subscribers (these must be actual people, who live locally and will open their e-mails and WANT to get the newsletter)*. The referral period started on October 10th (as announced on our Facebook page...yet another reason to become a fb fan if you are not one already) and runs through November 17th!

And...since we love schools and love teachers, we have another giveaway opportunity.  We will be donating school supplies/classroom supplies (the school will be able to provide the list of what they need) to the school in Rockville, Gaithersburg or North Potomac that sends the most new local subscribers our way.  Parents, please bring this giveaway to your school's attention, speak with other parents, the principal, the PTA, etc. and spread the word.  When subscribing, parents will need to put the name of the school that referred them in as their referral source to be counted.  This giveaway will run through December 1st.  Please note that both public and private schools are eligible to participate, as are preschools, elementary schools, middle schools and high schools.  Also, the new subscribers need not have a child that is attending the referring school, they just need to list that school during their initial sign up on the subscribe page for it to count.  (The amount of the supplies donation will depend on how many subscribers list the winning school as their referral source.  If 1-50 new subscribers = $25 donation, 51-100 subscribers = $50 donation, 100-250 subscribers = $75 donation, 251 subscribers or more = $100 donation)
