The Not-to-be-Missed Concert Event!!

By Lani May 3, 2011

All right my friends- I wanted to let you all know that for those who were not able to see Imagination Movers when they came to Frederick, THEY ARE COMING BACK!!  I am shouting because I am so excited!  You all know that I have gone to tons of children's shows, and I can honestly say, this was the most fun both my son, and I have had at a children's event.  If you have not heard the Movers music, check out the Disney Channel, or the Disney website, or On Demand if you have cable of FIOS at home.  I actually let my son watch the concert which is being aired on the Disney Channel on a pretty frequent basis before we went.  I was not sure he would really get it since it was his first concert (he's 3.5)...but he totally got it, loved that he had a general idea of what was coming up, and was rocking out dancing in the aisle with tons of other little ones.

For adults, I am thrilled to report that Imagination Movers are actually a good band that you may find yourself listening to even after you drop your little one off at preschool.  I loved that Choo Choo Soul was there, and they even performed a few songs with the Movers.  My son (and every other child there) loved that they sang the new Disney Jr. theme song.  Parents loved that there were definitely some fun songs and jokes that were for us. :)

The Movers will be at the GWU Lisner Auditorium on May 12th at 7pm.  The show is about an hour and a half, so don't worry about it being a super late night.  I also want to point out that if your kid(s) love the Movers, there is a special VIP package available which includes tickets in the first 10 rows (so your kids will get to interact with the Movers when they come down from the stage), a special party in the "Think Tank" party room, healthy snacks for the mini-movers and their parents, a meet & greet and photo-op with all of the Movers and Nina, and a signed Imagination Movers poster.

The following day, the Movers will be making a special appearance at the Sony Store in Tysons Corner.  There are no tickets required for the Sony Store appearance, but I have heard you need to line up EARLY and that it is not a full concert, but more of a meet the Movers and photo-op.
